Muhammad Wasiq Ghani is a Portfolio Consulting Professional at Siemens Ltd., based in Perth. With nearly a decade of experience in electrification, protection, and automation of electrical grids across multiple countries, Wasiq specialises in devising innovative technical and commercial solutions to help industries achieve higher efficiency, reliability, and sustainability for their assets and operations.

Wasiq holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. Throughout his career at Siemens, Wasiq has led the design and proposal of complex protection schemes for high, medium and low voltage electrical infrastructures, control systems including Grid SCADA, Microgrid Controls, PV Plant Controls, and BESS SCADA and other Automation Solutions, supporting clients from sectors such as mining, utilities, IPPs, manufacturing, renewables etc. In his current role, he plays a key role in collaborating with Developers, Consultants, NSPs, EPCs, Integrators, Builders, Service Providers, End Users etc proposing Siemens technologies and solutions to address need for renewables integration and achieving decarbonization targets.
