Carl Hendricks, P.Eng., Ph.D., has been involved in the design and development of mining automation technology for 35 years. He is a former professor and member of the Canadian Centre for Automation and Robotics in Mining at McGill University in Montreal. He was a founding member of AQUILA Mining Systems and has been with Caterpillar since 2004 where he has held leadership positions in the global management of Caterpillar’s mining technology products and is currently the Chief Engineer for Autonomy and Automation. He is a registered professional mining engineer and a graduate of Concordia University and McGill University with M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in mining.
