Owen has been actively involved in the global large-scale battery energy storage (BESS) industry since the first MW-scale systems were installed in the USA over 15 years ago. Over this time, he has worked in a wide range of technical and commercial roles for PCS providers, battery manufacturers, and system integrators.

Owen has played an active role in the industry’s evolution since its inception, and his involvement with many world-first projects has fostered a passion for emerging BESS applications and technologies, with a particular interest in the role BESS plays in the stabilisation and decarbonisation of large power systems.

Owen joined Pacific Energy in October 2023 as Principal Applications Engineer.
