Alex Flores is a dedicated professional in the renewable energy sector, currently contributing his expertise leading business development and commercial activities at NHOA Energy in Melbourne.

Before his role at NHOA Energy, Alex worked in roles at the sustainability consultancy, Mojarra running programs such as EcoBiz energy audits, Perth Solar City and the Federal Government’s Green Loans program, then moving onto key industry OEMs like SunPower (Maxeon), specialising in Commercial & Industrial PV applications deploying highest efficiency solar and tracker technology then moving to SMA (Power Conversion Systems OEM) where he focused on large-scale utility projects – contracting over 3.5 GW of renewable energy capacity. Alex now focuses on battery energy storage system integration and delivery.

During his career, Alex has contributed to several innovative projects and has been instrumental in advancing renewable energy initiatives including development of various re-deployable PV platforms, deploying the first reverse DC-Coupled Grid Forming BESS (with PV) in the NEM, supporting the integration of the largest co-located wind farm and solar farm in Australia.

Beyond his professional endeavours, Alex has demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental conservation through volunteer work with organisations such as The Tree Project and Conservation Volunteers Australia. His roles have included flora and fauna surveying, plant propagation, and team leadership in various environmental projects.
