Suresh Sakar is the Engineering & Technology Manager for Iluka Resources and has been involved in Iluka’s major projects and mine developments over the past 15 years. This included the development of the Jacinth – Ambrosia mine in South Australia, Kulwin and WRP in the Murray Basin and expansions of existing operations in Sierra Leone. He has driven the selection of the power supply to each of these developments including assessing self generation and connection to the grid. More recently he has driven Iluka’s move into renewables with the first solar farm commissioned at the Jacinth-Ambrosia mine.
